First Leica store opens in Moscow

The new Leica Store is located in the centre of the city on the main boulevard, Leninskiy Avenue. ‘Leninskiy Prospect’ is not only a famous shopping and university quarter of the Russian capital, but is also a popular residential area for numerous politicians and public figures.

With a surface area of 58 square meters, the Moscow Leica Store is dedicated exclusively to the presentation of Leica products. At the new store, customers can find the entire current range of Leica products for digital and film photography, digital projection and sports optics. One section of the Leica Store has been reserved solely for demonstrating the outstanding audio and visual qualities of the new Leica Pradovit D-1200 digital projector. In addition to the extensive display of products, the store also provides customers with a technical service centre offering repairs and servicing for Leica products. Here, interested customers are also offered the opportunity to watch highly qualified technicians working on handcrafted Leica products.

Another integral part of the Moscow Leica Store is a gallery displaying the wide spectrum of photographic art in regularly changing exhibitions. The current exhibition is ‘Lapin’s School’, which celebrated its first private viewing on the occasion of the opening of the store on 26 May 2009.
