The citation said: “The Rho 1000 was awarded this distinction because Durst, by integrating automatic feed and unload of material, and the continual printing of sheets at high speed, has substantially increased workflow and productivity. In addition, colour matching at the same time reduces the set-up time.”
The Rho 1000 is an ultra high speed inkjet flatbed printer, with a workflow design based on analogue screen printing with its integrated feed and removal of the material. The Rho’s 64,000 inkjet nozzles enable a production output of up to 600m_ per hour (310m_ in quality production mode). The printer can be equipped with 8 colours. By the integration of the process colours orange and violet, the screen printing requirements for the largest possible colour space after reproduction are catered for. Unlike other flatbed printers, the Durst Rho 1000 is not limited by size or productivity associated with table versions, but instead employs a workflow design featuring a continuous transport belt. The precise registration of the print media also enables duplex printing.
