The PLC-XE31 Sounds the Alarm
Protection against unauthorised use begins as soon as you turn on the projector. The PLC-XE31 can only be used after you have entered your personal PIN code. In addition, you have the option of configuring a PIN-protected startup message screen that provides information about the rightful owner of the projector, for example. Acoustically, the projector is protected against theft by the integrated audio alarm. When activated, a loud alarm (100 dB) is sounded when the integrated sensor detects movement – even if the projector is not plugged in.
Because the PLC-XE31 does not have any user controls on the housing and can only be operated with a special remote control, the unit can also be left unattended. Simply take the handy remote with you and the unit is completely useless to unauthorised users.
In addition, the shiny orange housing clearly indicates that the projector is not designed for use in living rooms.
Nice and Bright
With a lamp output of 1,500 ANSI lumens, you can project brilliant images even in broad daylight in rooms that cannot be darkened. The XGA resolution (1024 x 768) and 400:1 contrast ratio guarantee razor-sharp display of small details. Thanks to the incredibly high lamp life of 5,000 hours (in Eco mode) the operating costs are very low as well. This is a particular important criterion for small institutions when choosing a projector.
Thanks to its light weight of just 2.5 kg and compact dimensions of 29.4 x 69.5 x 20.8 cm (W x H x D), the projector is ideal for mobile use. The digital keystone correction eliminates vertical image distortions by up to +/-20° and facilitates setup. The image is automatically corrected at the touch of a button so that it can be adapted to a wide range of room conditions. Despite the small dimensions, the barely audible operating level of just 29 dB will not distract the audience from your presentation. Even in small rooms where the projector is often right next to the audience, the public will be able to concentrate on your presentation. With the Direct Power On/Off switch, you can start your presentation in just a few moments. If you need to move on to the next lecture room, the unit can be turned off and stored away immediately after your presentation. Thanks to the integrated, intelligent capacitor, the fan will continue to operate until the lamp is properly cooled.

The 24-hr replacement service is ideal for schools and small educational institutions that are unlikely to have a backup unit available. Should the unit ever fail during the warranty period, a replacement unit is provided for the duration of the repair within 24 hours. In addition, SANYO provides a 36-month warranty on the PLC-XE31 as well as 12 months on the lamps.
