Companies maximize efficiency by adding Duplo finishing solutions

Used to finish such applications as business cards, wine labels, cards and even notepads, the high production digital color finisher eliminates white borders and prevents toner cracking with great speed and versatility.

"The DC-745 has decreased my production time by three-fourths. I saved the program for business cards and I am done in minutes," says Roman Albin, manager at Inter-State. Previously, the company finished their work by manually scoring or cutting documents on a flat trimmer. "The trimmer would take as much as an hour of my time. The DC-745 has been a huge time saver," says Albin.

The machine was sold and installed by Duplo dealer, UDP Corporation. Inter-State Studio provides a wide range of products including yearbooks, calendars, memory books, school portraits, and student planners to elementary, middle and high schools across the country.

Sir Speedy, in Sarasota, FL, has installed Duplo’s DC-645 Slitter/Cutter/Creaser. Ideal for finishing short to medium runs, the DC-645 eliminates white borders and toner cracking on a variety of digital print applications. Previously utilizing a number of separate finishing devices, this Sir Speedy has been able to streamline their process and increase their productivity. "Our copy operators run all the business cards to completion, eliminating bindery all together," says Brian Doerner, general manager at Sir Speedy Sarasota. "The quality of scoring is incredible, better than any other method, and significantly faster. We can’t imagine being without it," Doerner adds.

The machine was sold and installed by Duplo dealer, Zeno Office Solutions. Sir Speedy provides printing and marketing services with a network of 600 locations in 13 countries.
