Clarke appointed Head of Photo Imaging at Fujifilm Europe

Clarke, who joined Fujifilm in 1982, has been Vice President of Fujifilm Electronic Imaging Europe, Kleve, Germany, the Fujifilm company which is responsible for the digital camera business in Europe. Under his leadership during the last three years, the sales volume increased by 30 percent and Fujifilm succeeded in gaining significant market share in emerging markets such as Russia and Turkey.Clarke will continue in this position in addition to his new role at Fujifilm Europe.

Commenting on his additional responsibilities, Adrian said: ”This is an example of new thinking back in Japan: The Directors are determined to give local staff key jobs overseas. There’s a really good mix now of dedicated Europeans working alongside first-class Japanese. There’s also new thinking with regards to synergies between cameras and printing systems. The teams will be working much more closely together and we are determined to present one ‘photographic’ face to the market.”
