In the „City of Science“ programme, citizens who are interested will all have the unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at Europe’s largest photofinishing company and largest digital printing plant on eight days in June, on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. and Thursdays at 9 a.m. Here they will be able to see the challenges involved in developing holiday snapshots on photo paper or how personal photos are used to produce a CeWe Photo Book with a personally designed binding. Exciting tours around the plant and interesting technical presentations will show visitors how CeWe manages to guarantee the highest standards of quality and precision for its customers at all times, how the photo industry is developing and what makes CeWe Color so successful in this process. At the same time the visit to the photo lab is of great interest for all those who enjoy taking photographs and would like to get some ideas for their hobby. An insight into the world of CeWe Photo Books in particular promises to give a lot of information for personal use.
Like no other photo company in Europe, CeWe Color not only knows how to point to changes in the world of digital photography – the company also transfers these changes into an excellent range of services for its customers. CeWe Color recognised the unprecedented shift in technology from analogue to digital photography at an early stage and was able to reorganise itself in a unique accomplishment in the face of technological challenges. Dr. Rolf Hollander, Chairman of the Board of Management of the CeWe Color Group, says about this development: “CeWe Color has successfully advanced the transformation process and, besides becoming European market leader in the field of photofinishing, has also gained the leading position on the international photo book market.” One factor that shows that CeWe Color is on the right track is the Best Service Award, a national award in Germany.
