Cewe Color acquires online printer Saxoprint

According to a press release, the acquision is part of the implementation of the management’s strategy to enter into the online print market beyond the imaging industry. Saxoprint, which operates online printing portals in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, France and Spain, is one of the leading providers in the European online print market. For fiscal 2011, the company recorded sales of Euro 31.4 million (US-$ 41.1 million).

Terms of the acquisiton, which is affective January 1, 2012, were not disclosed. According to a press release, the purchase price is paid by Cewe Color entirely out of acquity.
