Cewe Color: A fireworks of product innovations

A new version of the Cewe Photo Book order software will be available as a free download at the photokina and soon at www.cewe-fotobuch.de and on many retailer websites. This new version has even more design options and can be handled more intuitively. Examples of highlights are the face detection function with which the software automatically gives preference to photos with people when selecting and placing photos. Another new feature is including geotagging in photos: photo geodata, which is also being captured by an increasing number of digital cameras, enables the memories that have been stored to be precisely linked to the corresponding location on the globe. Even maps can be automatically integrated into the Cewe Photo Book.

Another functional highlight is Facebook integration, which enables a personally designed Cewe Photo Book that has been ordered to be uploaded direct to a personal Facebook account and shared with friends. The real highlight: Facebook friends can take a look at this Cewe Photo Book online in their Facebook account and order it from Cewe Color if they wish, provided that the person who produced the photos has authorised the placement of orders by third parties.

iPhone users can all download the Cewe Phone Book software free of charge as an iPhone App direct from the App store. Users can then produce a Cewe Phone Book in a Leporello format and immediately place an order online. The Cewe Phone Book is perfectly adapted to the ecosystem of the iPhone: it adapts the appearance and the size of an iPhone.

There is also a special software innovation for Microsoft users: together with the leading software manufacturer worldwide, Cewe Color has developed an optimised version for the new Windows 7 operating system. A Cewe Photo Book can now also be designed with the help of a multi-touch screen. Visitors to the photokina will be able to experience this for themselves at the Cewe Color stand. Photos can be intuitively processed without any effort by means of finger navigation. On the basis of this innovation, Cewe Color was selected as one of the top finalists in the 2010 Microsoft Partner Awards in the Microsoft Global ISV Consumer category.
