Canon U.S.A. launches new category within the large format printing lineup

The new Canon iPF MFP imaging systems provide a new type of large format color system with a wide range of features and workflow solutions making for an extraordinary value to many different types of printing environments. The technical documents user, such as architects, engineers and sub-contractors, can take advantage of the many technological advancements incorporated into these low cost systems. The Canon iPF MFP imaging systems include a Ci C40 color scanner with a 40-inch scan width for A0, D and architectural E-size scans, true 600dpi optical resolution, scan speeds up to 10 inches per second in monochrome, instant productivity from power on with no warm-up time, front document exit for easy retrieval and face-up paper feed with automatic size detection.

Offering tremendous versatility and functionality, each system includes a 40-inch color scanner utilizing Contact Imaging Sensor (CIS ) technology, a Dell Inspiron 560S Computer, 21.5-inch touch screen monitor, SmartWorks MFP scanning software, reprographics stand and the choice of one of five imagePROGRAF large format printers: the iPF710, iPF750, iPF755, iPF815 and iPF825.

The choice of five different MFP solutions allows technical document users to choose the model that best corresponds to the applications being used while maintaining overall productivity within a price point that makes sense for the business. The Canon iPF MFP imaging systems include an iPF five-color printer that features: fast, high quality printing with precise 4pl ink droplet for high image resolution, clarity and detail and an Economy Print Mode which allows for a lower cost of operation.

The Canon iPF MFP imaging system will carry an estimated selling price of $7,495 for the 36-inch iPF710 printer, $8,495 for the 36-inch iPF750 printer, $8,995 for the 36-inch iPF755 printer, $9,795 for the 44-inch iPF815 printer and $11,495 for the 44-inch iPF825 printer. All of these new models will begin shipping in mid-December.
