Canon launches new high speed departmental scanner

Canon’s latest addition to its departmental scanner portfolio not only offers fast and reliable document handling and advanced image quality but is also one of the most energy efficient in its class.

Tracey Fielden, Head of Office Marketing, Canon UK says, "There is growing awareness of the impact effective management of business documents can have to a business’ bottom line and this is driving the development of the departmental scanning sector.

"Organisations are under pressure to perform as efficiently as possible. Introducing a simple electronic document management solution can quickly assist organisations in streamlining their business processes, reducing costs and staying profitable. Canon has introduced the DR-6010C to its portfolio in order to provide businesses with higher performance scanning at a lower cost."

The DR-6010C is an A4 scanner that can process documents at up to 60 pages per minute in colour at 300dpi. Additional image processing features in the DR-6010C include auto size and deskew detection, auto colour detection and punch hole removal to ensure better quality and more accurate and reliable scans.

Featuring an ergonomic front-feed U-Turn transport path, the design enables users to receive scans at the front of the machine for easy operation. Large batches up to 100 sheets are processed automatically in a single operation while the feeder is capable of handling a wide variety of documents. The DR-6010C is also one of the few devices in its class with a selectable Straight-Thru paper path enabling the processing of fragile or thick documents, such as plastic cards and driver’s licenses.

The Canon imageFormula DR-6010C is now shipping across the EMEA region.
