"Whether it’s to capture financial documents, process insurance claim forms, or create Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), these scanners will bring a new level of performance to a variety of markets," said Jim Rosetta, vice president and general manager, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A. "The combination of speed, reliability and image quality will help any production scanning environment to reduce overall costs associated with document management and records retention."
With the need for fast, reliable and precise production scanners continuing to expand, the Canon DR-9050C/7550C/6050C scanners capture fine print and other small details with exceptional clarity using three-line Contact Image Sensors (CIS) at up to 600 dots-per-inch (dpi) optical resolution and incorporate a dust-free shading mechanism for outstanding image quality. In addition, all three scanners include an on-board image processing chip, which enables them to maintain high scanning speeds even when multiple image-processing functions are enabled.
For high-volume document capture, reliability and flexibility are always among the highest of concerns when dealing with image capturing devices. Designed with Canon’s unique feeding mechanism, the DR-9050C/7550C/6050C production scanners feature Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection, Rapid Recovery and Staple Detection to help ensure reliable document scanning. Further expanding the flexibility of these production scanners, all three models include an adjustable motorized feeding tray, and can handle paper sizes ranging from business cards up to 11-inches x 17-inches, or long documents up to 118.1 inches.
