Canon announces the resolution of two patent Infringement lawsuits

The Consent Order, which was approved on April 8, 2011 and is expected to be entered by the ITC in approximately thirty-days, acknowledges the validity of the involved patent claims, and acknowledges that the Respondents may not import into the U.S. or sell in the U.S. the accused toner cartridges and their photosensitive drums without a license or consent from Canon. Canon has no present intention to grant a license to Ninestar or the other Respondents. Canon initiated its proceeding to obtain an Order from the ITC prohibiting Ninestar and the other Respondents from importing into the U.S. and selling in the U.S. the accused toner cartridges and their photosensitive drums, which is precisely what the Consent Order shall do.
