In June and in the period up to mid-July, unique insights into the photo world of CeWe Color will be waiting for participants every Tuesday and Thursday. During tours of the plant and technical presentations such as “Photo development and production in digital photography” or the presentation about the “Technology of photography and of digital printing”, visitors will find out about the technical challenges CeWe Color has to master for its customers day in and day out. The presentation “The CeWe Internet story” explains how CeWe Color has managed to hold it own on the market as the technological and quality leader. CeWe Color enriches the everyday life of millions of satisfied customers with its high-quality photo products in which personal family photos and holiday photos are preserved.
CeWe Color has invested more than 380 million euros in the past ten years alone in order to be able to guarantee this service for its customers. Since the late 1990s, CeWe Color has spent a total of more than 250 million euros on becoming a digital provider during the process of transformation. As early as in 1997 the company was the first photofinisher in the world to set up a station for taking in digital orders in a retail store as well as a website for orders. More than any other company, CeWe Color has faced the changing requirements of photo processing and has already successfully mastered the technological transition as a leader in innovation. Today the company operates almost 50 digital printers in its 13 production plants. These figures speak of the success of the photo service company: CeWe Color produced more than 2.6 billion photos and more than 2.6 million CeWe Photo Books in the 2008 business year.
