In addition to the TV commercial, Avril will also be featured in a series of outdoor ads launching later this month. The billboards promote Canon’s all-new Rebel T1i Digital SLR camera – the first Rebel camera to feature full HD video. Avril will also appear on in-store promotional materials and product packaging for Canon.
To help mark the launch of the spring campaign, Canon Canada has updated its Avril Lavigne microsite, www.shootlikeastar.ca. Here visitors can view the commercial, learn about the latest Canon point-and-shoot and DSLR cameras and customize their own photos using icons and graphics influenced by Avril and the new commercial.

Canon Canada announced its endorsement contract with Avril in October 2008 and has since featured the superstar artist in a number of broadcast ads and in-store marketing materials.
